More Than Just Fun: Supporting Agriculture
Did you know the Lee Regional Fair is more than just a fun event for families and communities? We play a vital role in promoting and supporting agriculture in our area. The Fair provides a crucial platform for local farmers to showcase their products, skills, and innovations, helping them connect with customers and partners. We also educate the public about the importance of agriculture in our community, fostering appreciation for those who produce our food and fiber and inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Your Guide to Fair Fun!
We're expecting a lot of FAIR FUN with a packed schedule! You'll find outside and inside vendors, local bands and professional entertainment, magic shows, contests, pageants, agriculture displays, games of chance, and a super midway with thrilling rides. Wristbands for the rides can be purchased in advance at Big Rock Amusements or right on the Midway.
Make sure to explore our two exhibit halls, where you can view amazing art and handicraft exhibits, exciting cooking competitions, and meet local artisans, businesses, and exhibitors Catch the pageants and bands on the Arena and Amphitheater stages. Don't miss the cattle, goats, and chicken livestock contests in the Barn! You can even try your hand at tobacco looping and tying at the tobacco barn and museum.
Be sure to check out the chuck wagon, saw mill, grist mill, blacksmith, antique tractors, and farm equipment on the Lions Field. Don't be shy, ask questions and talk with members of the Central Carolina Antique and Power Equipment (C-Cape). They love to talk “anything farming”. You can even set a spell at the Country Store to enjoy music and people-watching. If the music moves you, grab a partner or dance solo! And of course, don't forget the GREAT FAIR FOODfrom the Lions Kitchen and Concession Stand and the many midway food vendors.
Affordable Family Fun That Gives Back
We're committed to keeping the fair an affordable family event. Admission is just $5 every day for everyone except children under 36 inches admitted free. And parking is always FREE. On Sunday, you can even get in by donating 3 nonperishable food items as admission. Wristbands for the rides can be purchased in advance at Big Rock Amusements or right on the Midway.
Every dollar of profit from the Fair is used by the Sanford Lions Club to support its mission of helping the Visually Impaired and aiding many local charities. These include the Boys and Girls Home at Lake Waccamaw, Camp Dogwood, CUOC, Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Vision Van, Helping Hands, Haven, Sanford Area Soccer League, VIP Fishing Tournament, Christmas Cheer donations, Vision Screening in local schools, and, of course, maintaining the fairgrounds for future events.
